A gathering intended to bring researchers on post 2016 Horse River Wildfire research back to the community with findings.
About this Event
This event is intended to engage the community in meaningful conversations about the results of studies conducted in Wood Buffalo that demonstrate the health effects or risks from the wildfire
Round-table conversations will be organized with each table focusing on one of the four key focus areas:
a) the importance and value of conducting research on the health impacts from the wildfire;
b) the challenges with conducting disaster-related health research;
c) the impact of the results on future policy and planning during a disaster; and
d) ethical and sensitive approaches to conducting research on the health impacts post-disaster.
